Starting a business online!
If you truly wish to start a business online, and achieve the success that eludes 95% of your competitors, I may have a word or two that will help you along the way.
Starting an online business is by far the most inexpensive and most profitable way for small business owners and individuals with limited resources to operate in a highly competitive environment. In fact, with an economy that is fraught with worry, starting a business is of the utmost necessity.
However, once you've made the decision to become truly independent, I must advise you that you will be welcomed into an environment that tolerates very little error. As even the most seasoned veteran will tell you, the learning curve to attain financial independence "on or offline," is great.
If you've done your online research, chances are you've been bombarded with information overload on how easy it is to have a thriving business up and running within seconds, "just CLICK HERE! "
Although these "masters of business" should be commended for their ability to harness the masses of ordinary individuals wanting a slice of success, the fact of the matter is, true entrepreneurial success is earned, it cannot be given.
Starting a business, if I were to use an analogy, would be the equivalent of continuously filling a bucket with water that has hundreds of tiny holes at the bottom, and a thirsty bucket owner trying desperately to plug the holes to retain the water.
It is not my attempt to sober the mood of anyone wanting to give a new business idea an attempt at life. It is, however, my desire to educate the ambitious in identifying the gifted writer.
Starting a business online is first and foremost a business. It should be treated as one. How condescending is that remark you may ask? You would be surprised to note that online business success is more difficult to obtain than an ordinary traditional company with a physical location. Yes, all successful traditional companies have an online presence, but keep in mind that their online success is attributed to an already established physical presence or a noted brand name. Should these seasoned veterans decide to close a URL, they may suffer for a day or two, but innovative marketing will keep them afloat. A company that was born and nurtured with the implicit intention to operate online lacks the ability to materialize into anything else but mediocrity. If you wish to argue the point, let's take Google as our example. If the executives of this phenomenon were to lose their sanity and decided to discontinue its service indefinitely, millions of would be dependants would be at a loss.
My point is this!
Starting a business online must take into account the prerequisites of a traditional operating business model. For example, if in your present or future company, you were to take a day off, and as a result, your company makes no money, then you are self-employed. If, on the other hand, you sell a product/service and once you've done so, you must continuously seek other customers to generate revenue, you are not in business, you are simply running a never ending marketing campaign. And lastly, if you have a customer base and combine marketing strategies to service both future and existing customers, and your company can function without your physical presence, then, you have the makings of starting a business online ---successful! Not that there is absolutely anything wrong with either of these models, the crime is not knowing the difference.
Once you have established which of these business models is right for you, another vital piece of information you must acquire is the dollar value of your customer. Whether your business is real or imaginary, every business has a customer value. You must know yours. Armed with these 2 vital pieces of information, your proverbial business bucket has just gotten heavier and puts you well ahead of 90% of your competition.
